FAQs

Q. What is the AI Governance Conference?

A. The AI Governance Conference (AIGov) is DATAVERSITY's newest event with a specific focus on providing thought leadership and best practices for the critically important emerging areas of AI Governance.

Q. When and where will the AI Governance Conference take place?

A. The AI Governance Conference is scheduled for December 9-13 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. It will take place alongside DATAVERSITY’s Data Governance & Information Quality Conference (DGIQ) East.

A member of Historic Hotels of America, the Omni Shoreham Hotel has a rich and unique history, hosting guests as varied as the Beatles and FDR, plus 10 presidential inaugural celebrations.

Q. Can I attend any DGIQ sessions as well (or am I limited to the AIGOV program)?

A. Participation in the AI Governance Conference will provide access to all DGIQ East sessions on your dates of registration, and vice versa.

AIGOV will also include our next Women in Data Management and Governance (WDMG) program! This program, taking place Wednesday at 2:00pm, is included in your AIGOV registration, and all Wednesday attendees are welcome to attend.

NOTE: The 6:30pm dinner following this program is not included but can be added for a separate fee of $75. To join the WDMG dinner, please select the appropriate add-on during the registration process.

Q. How do I get to speak at the conference?

A. Most of the sessions are selected through a Call for Presentations (CFP) process, which is now closed, but you are welcome to submit to be considered if we need a replacement session at this link!

Interested in speaker information for DGIQ East? Learn more here.

Additionally, some sessions, such as Keynotes and Panels, are developed through specific invitations to the speakers. There are also some vendor speaking sessions that are identified on the program agenda as “sponsored.”

Q. How do I become a sponsor?

A. Request a prospectus at this link or reach out to Lenore Higgins for more information on how to become a sponsor for this event.

Q. Where do I book a hotel room?

A. Learn about the hotel, parking, and transportation on our Travel Page

Q. Do you offer CDMP® testing at this event?

A. DGIQ + AIGov satisfies the continuing education requirements of the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP®) credential. The conference will also offer time slots for attendees to take CDMP Exams (time slots to be announced), and as an AIGov attendee, these time slots will be available for you (on your dates of attendance). See more here

Q. Will my registration include access to any recorded sessions?

A. All in-person registrants* receive access to DATAVERSITY Training Center's Essential Subscription for one year, which includes any sessions recorded at the AI Governance Conference and previous face-to-face conference presentations + webinars, podcast episodes, product demos, case studies, and online conferences, as well as the complete catalog of “What Is…” on-demand courses, and all related insider content.

Essential Subscription access will be shared via email app. two weeks after the event end dates, with AI Governance videos becoming available app. four weeks after the event.

*Applicable to all in-person registrations except Exhibit Booth Pass and WDMG Program Only registrations.

Q. What if I can't attend in person?

A. We offer three non-attendee subscription options via our registration page that will include access to all of the sessions recorded at the AI Governance Conference, so you can watch on-demand in the comfort of your own home or office!

Access to all Non-Attendee Packages/Subscriptions will be shared via email app. two weeks after the event ends, with AI Governance Conference videos becoming available app. four weeks after the event ends.

Q. What sessions will be recorded?

A. We record all Keynotes and many of the Conference Sessions and Product Sessions (the exact number of recorded tracks will be determined closer to the conference dates). We do not record longer-form content like Tutorials, Workshops, or Seminars.

Q. I received the offer of a paid attendee list. Is this a real offer?

A. If you receive a message offering access to the AI Governance Conference attendee list, please be aware that this is not a genuine offer. The only organization with access to the list of AI Governance attendees is DATAVERSITY, and we do not sell or rent this list to anyone. Our recommendation is to report the email as junk or phishing and refrain from replying or clicking any of the links within the email.

Q. What COVID-19 protocols will be implemented at the AI Governance Conference?

A. In reviewing the current COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC, and the specific requirements in place in Washington, D.C., we will not be requiring proof of vaccination or negative testing in order to attend December's AI Governance Conference.

DATAVERSITY still recommends that all attendees take measures to manage their own health risks and protect themselves by wearing face coverings (masks) indoors and being vaccinated with the latest available boosters at least two weeks prior to attending the conference.

Q. What if COVID-19 requirements change in Washington, D.C.?

A. If conditions around COVID-19 change such that stricter protocols are required by any health authority with jurisdiction in Washington D.C., then we will notify attendees immediately.

Please ensure you have taken the time to read all of the latest Government, Public Health, travel, and testing guidance. You can find these at https://coronavirus.dc.gov/healthguidance

Q. What if my question wasn't answered above?

A. For registration questions, email registration@dataversity.net. For all other queries, email events@dataversity.net.
